Meet the 2016 Yeah Girl Exhibiting Photographers
Yeah Girl is a photography exhibition exposing the often unseen and rapidly growing world of women’s skateboarding. Featuring photos of female skateboarders shot by female photographers from around the world, the exhibition is a documentation of women’s skateboarding and its creative undercurrents. Allow us to introduce you to the exhibiting photographers.
Introducing Sarah Meurle from Sweden! Sarah kills it on a board and behind the lens and we’re super excited to announce her as one of the exhibiting photographers for Yeah Girl.
Shooting mostly analog photos, Sarah has a unique eye for capturing those in-between moments of skateboarding. They say skateboarders look at the world differently, and Sarah’s photos are the perfect example of that.

Our second exhibiting photographer originally hails from France but currently lives in Sweden. Marie Dabbadie has stacks of amazing photos of the European girls skate scene.
She’s a photographer, copywriter, skateboarder, traveller, chef but mostly story teller.

Maria Lima from Denmark is a skateboarder, a photographer and a coffee enthusiast who has travelled all over Europe capturing her skate adventures on film.
There’s something poetic about Maria’s photos. Each one tells a story, with just enough ambiguity to stay open to interpretation.

Lisa Kindberg is a Swedish photographer whose skate photos have won awards, been featured in exhibitions and been published in books! This girl has talent and we’re stoked to be including her photos in Yeah Girl.
Lisa grew up in Gothenburg but has spent the last 10 years living abroad, mostly in Spain, and now Australia.
Lisa has been helping out behind the scenes for Yeah Girl and we’re particularly grateful for her assistance in getting the European photographers on board for the exhibition.

The USA’s Nam-Chi has photographed some of the worlds best female skateboarders at events like Street League and X Games. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited to be exhibiting her photos in the Yeah Girl exhibition.

Louisa Menke from the Netherlands is one of the pioneers of the women’s skate scene in Europe. She’s an incredible street skater and sees photography as an opportunity to look at skateboarding in a new way. Check out her blog here.
Louisa recently put together a book called ‘Some Time To Smile’ together with Kenny Reed, documenting their time in Kabul with Skateistan.
Mimi Knoop is one of the most respected female skateboarders in the world. She first turned pro in 2003, has won 5 gold medals at X Games and she takes some amazing skate photos as well. We can’t wait to share them with you at the exhibition.
Mimi works hard behind the scenes too. She co-founded The Alliance, a not-for-profit organisation that strives to empower and encourage young women’s participation in skateboarding and increase professional opportunities.
She also started Hoopla Skateboards, a girls skate brand whose team consists of some of the best female skateboarders in the world.
