Lizzie Armanto scored a 10/10 for her Olympic uniform, which she designed herself.

Lizzie designed the blue jumpsuit (and Vans Sk8 Hi shoes) that she wore while competing in the Tokyo Olympics. She told Vogue, “I wanted to keep the authenticity of skate and ensure I still looked like I was wearing something I would wear with or without the Olympics.”

The outfit, designed in collaboration with Vans and Rachael Finley, features white squiggles which are a nod to pool skating and an homage to Finland, the country she was representing at the Olympics. Specifically, she was inspired by architect and designer Alvar Aalto. “In 1939, he designed a kidney-shaped swimming pool which became synonymous with pool skateboarding much later in the ’70s,” Armanto says. “The various patterns on the jumpsuits are modeled after empty swimming pools around the world,” she told Vogue.

Underneath the jumpsuit, Lizzie wore a Grosso’s Loveletter’s to Skateboarding t-shirt; a tribute to her late friend and legendary skateboarder, Jeff Grosso.
