Copenhagen Open 2021 photo recap

This year wasn’t without its strangeness. It was strange to miss many of the regulars, stuck in their respective countries because of the crisis still raging across the globe. It was strange to be around so many people after a year spent indoors. It was strange how quickly it came and went, though I’m pretty sure I say that every year, so maybe that part is normal.

This year, the event stayed only in Copenhagen. There were DIY bowl sessions, ledge sessions in spots across the city, and as always, pallets and pallets of beer. There were fewer dance parties and boat rides, but as much as I missed them, they’re not the reason I attend. I go to CPH Open for the people (I affectionately call it “Adult Summer Camp”). There were some new but recognizable faces this year — Fabiana Delfino, Breana Geering, and Nicole Hause all made it out. And the regulars — Maité Steenhoudt, Dayana Young, Sarah Meurle, and Amy Ram, to name a few.

I think one of the reasons I shoot photos is so that I can prove to myself, “Yes. I was there. That happened,” and I feel that more strongly at CPH Open than anywhere else. Here’s some proof that yes, I was there. That happened.
