Eeva-Mari Haikala

Eeva-Mari Haikala is an artist working with video, photography and performance art. She is also a freelance writer, focusing mostly on contemporary art and dance, visual culture and live art.

For Eeva-Mari jumping on skateboard was natural continuum of all these activities. She is into freedom, self-expression, bodily attempts, goofiness and finding a feel-good space in a changing world.

Since starting to skateboard at the age of 40, she’s been a passionate skateboarder. Not a good one, but it does not stop her dreaming about being a pro skater when she is all grown-up.
