This year, Pushing Boarders travels to Malmö, Sweden, to join together with the annual Skate Malmö Street event, the Kristianstad Museum’s Skate! 2019 exhibition and the Smörgåsboard Film Festival.
Pushing Boarders is a collaboration between four socially-conscious skateboarding organizations: SkatePal, Long Live Southbank, Skateism & Re-verb Skateboarding. It is a platform for networking and sharing ideas between different fields and organizations within skateboarding and aims to shine a light on the smaller organizations often overlooked in the skateboarding media.
After their London debut last year, Pushing Boarders is heading to Malmö from 14th-18th August 2019.
Each day begins with panel discussions about topics surrounding skateboarding culture, followed by skate events, exhibitions and film screenings held at different venues around the city. All events are free and open to the public.
