Norma Ibarra has created her first-ever photo book, “PARA TI,” which shines a light on her Mexican skateboard community.
Norma is a skateboarder, mountain biker, photographer, gardener, and social media marketer, all rolled into one. Originally from Mexico, she is committed to documenting skaters and shedding light on lesser-known communities around the world. For this project, Norma created a photo book focused on the skate scene in Mexico.
With this book, Norma wants to remind everyone that no matter your culture, identity, abilities, gender, or preferences, skateboarding is “FOR YOU” — “PARA TI.” Norma hopes this book will inspire more people to get on a skateboard, to shoot photos and videos, to document their community, and most importantly, to uplift their communities to create a more inclusive and safe space for everyone.
The book was produced as part of the Vans “These Projects Are Ads for Creativity” campaign and was made possible with the help of U Can Skate.
