Meet London’s queer skate crew “Sibling” in episode 1 of COLLECTIVES

November 4th, 2019

From a queer crew in London, to women’s skateboarding in the Middle East – and everybody in between – COLLECTIVES is a series about the groups that drive skateboarding’s non-traditional movement.

Episode one of COLLECTIVES — the series created by UK’s Rachael Sherlock and Jenna Selby, in collaboration with Skateism and Nike SB — follows Sibling, the London-based queer skate community who have found camaraderie and encouragement in each other, through skateboarding in the capital.

Born from the recent wave of LGBTQ+ scenes in skateboarding, Sibling is growing constantly to include more folx who identity with the alternative view of skate culture that they present. Since COLLECTIVES is a series all about the power of skateboarding to bring underground and overlooked groups together, Rachael and Jenna couldn’t think of a better crew to start with.
