Indigo Willing

Indigo Willing is a freelance writer and Adjunct Research Fellow with a PhD in Sociology. An Asian Australian of Vietnamese heritage, one of her key interests is pathways to social inclusion and diverse communities, including in skateboarding. Her research on skateboarding is published in Sociology, Sport in Society and in the Routledge book collection “Skateboarding: Sites, Subcultures and Shifts” edited by K.J. Lombard. She has also shared her research as an invited speaker on the ‘University of Skate’ panel at Pushing Boarders, Malmo in 2019. Her current research includes the ‘new ethics of skateboarding’ and diversity in skateboarding. Indigo is also a co-founder of Girls Skate Brisbane network and co-founder and facilitator of Consent is Rad.
